Akela own and operate a limited access static cone penetration rig.

The rig can be used in difficult access or low headroom as well as slopes and poor surface terrain outside.

The rig is used to complement our piling techniques and can be used to best effect when delineating ground condition differences over short lateral distance.

The speed of operation and direct measurement of parameters makes this technique ideally suited to residential housing projects for the delineation of spread foundations /trenchfill / vibro stone column and or piled foundations. This allows a greater degree of cost certainty on large residential housing projects.
