Screw Piles

Screw piles (also known as helical displacement piles), are prefabricated steel tubes with auger flights. There are screwed into the ground until suitable bearing stratum is reached.

They are often used on sites with constrained access and working space, especially when close to existing buildings as they can be installed with small plant and produce very slow noise and vibration during installation.
